Director Robert D. Krzykowski has confirmed in a recent interview with THR that Joe Kraemer (Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation, Jack Reacher, Pandora, The Way of the Gun, Comrade Detective) is set to score the upcoming monster movie Grendel. Jeff Bridges, Dave Bautista, Bryan Cranston, T Bone Burnett, Thomasin McKenzie and Aidan Turner are attached to star in the film, which is based on John Gardner’s novel of the same title and tells the tale of the legendary monster at the heart of the Beowulf epic poem who steps forth to tell his side of this story. Krzykowski is also producing the project with The Jim Henson Company’s Brian Henson (The Muppet Christmas Carol, Farscape) and Vince Raisa, as well as Jon D. Wagner (Some Kind of Hate), Jay Glazer and Dennis Berardi (Monster Hunter, Skinwalkers). As previously reported, Burnett is also providing original songs for the project. Kraemer has previously scored Krzykowski’s last feature, The Man Who Killed Hitler and then The Bigfoot. Grendel is set to shoot in 2025 in Europe.
