Back Lot Music will release a soundtrack album for the thriller Conclave. The album features the film’s original music composed by Academy Award winner Volker Bertelmann (All Quiet on the Western Front, Lion, Patrick Melrose, Hotel Mumbai, The Crow, The Old Guard, One Life, Adrift). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, October 25. Mutant will release a vinyl edition. Conclave is directed by Edward Berger and stars Ralph Fiennes, Stanley Tucci, John Lithgow, Sergio Castellitto and Isabella Rossellini. The movie based on Robert Harris’ 2016 novel of the same title follows a cardinal who is tasked with running this covert process after the unexpected death of the beloved Pope and uncovers a trail of deep secrets left in the dead Pope’s wake, secrets which could shake the foundations of the Church. The thriller premiered at this year’s Telluride Film Festival and is being released in theaters nationwide this weekend by Focus Features.
