Mac Quayle (Mr. Robot, Leave the World Behind, American Horror Story, Feud: Betty and Joan, American Crime Story, Scream Queens, The Politician, Ratched) has composed the original music for the upcoming documentary Surveilled. The film is directed by Matthew O’Neill & Perri Peltz and follows investigative journalist Ronan Farrow as he probes the dark underbelly of state-sponsored surveillance and foregrounds a grim reality: privacy is now a luxury no one can afford. In the movie, Farrow chases a trail of clues around the world through the underworld of spyware, from the rooms where it’s coded to the communities where it’s being used to terrorize journalists and dissidents, documenting a quiet threat to democracies and to all of us who carry phones in our pocket. Peltz, O’Neill & Farrow are also producing the project with Beth Morrissey. Surveilled will premiere next month at the 2024 DOC NYC and is expected to debut in the coming months on HBO.
