Last week, Tom Howe (Ted Lasso, Knuckles, Early Man, Daisy Jones & the Six, A Shaun the Sheep Movie: Farmageddon, Book Club: The New Chapter) has recorded his score for DreamWorks Animation’s upcoming feature Dog Man. The film is directed by Peter Hastings (The Epic Tales of Captain Underpants, Kung Fu Panda: The Dragon Knight) and features the voices of Pete Davidson, Lil Rel Howery, Poppy Liu, Isla Fisher, Stephen Root, Billy Boyd and Ricky Gervais. The animated action comedy is based on Dav Pilkey’s bestselling literary phenomenon of the same title about a faithful police dog and his human police officer owner who – after getting injured together on the job – are fused together by a harebrained but life-saving surgery. Karen Foster (Spirit Untamed) is producing the project. Dog Man is set to be released on January 31, 2025 by Universal Pictures.
Howe also continues to score Apple TV+’s Shrinking, which just returned for its second season last week and has already been renewed for a third season.
Actually stoked about this, his Knuckles score was fantastic. I think this’ll be a good film for the kind of things he had going on there
