Milan Records has released a soundtrack album for the Japanese animated feature The Colors Within (Kiminoiro). The album features the film’s original music composed by Kensuke Ushio (Chainsaw Man, Japan Sinks: 2020, Make My Day, A Silent Voice, Devilman Crybaby, Space Dandy, Liz and the Blue Bird). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon (and any other major digital music services), where you can also check out the track list. The Colors Within is directed by Naoko Yamada and tells the story of a high school student with the ability to see the ‘colors’ of others who forms a band with her classmate and a quiet music enthusiast they meet at a used bookstore in a far corner of town. The Science SARU production, which premiered at this year’s Annecy International Film Festival, opened in Japanese theaters this past August and has been picked up by GKIDS for a domestic release this coming winter.
