Jay Wadley (I’m Thinking of Ending Things, Swan Song, Franklin, Indignation, I Carry You with Me, We Grown Now, Fire Island) is the composer of the new Apple TV+ limied series Before. The show is created by Sarah Torp (The Bounty Hunter, Twisted) and stars Billy Crystal, Judith Light, Rosie Perez, Jacobi Jupe, Maria Dizzia and Ava Lalezarzadeh. The 10-part supernatural mystery thriller follows a child psychiatrist who – after recently losing his wife – encounters a troubled young boy who seems to have a haunting connection to his past. Thorp serves as the project’s showrunner and is also executive producing the Paramount Television production with Eric Roth (Forrest Gump, The Insider), as well as Adam Bernstein (The Sinner, Divorce) and Jet Wilkinson (Percy Jackson and the Olympians, The Chi) who both also directed episodes. Before will premiere on October 25, 2024 exclusively on Apple TV+ and is currently awaiting a distribution deal.
Wadley also continues to score the Hulu series Tell Me Lies, which is currently in its second season, with new episodes currently dropping every Wednesday on Hulu. He has also recently co-scored Scott McGehee’s & David Siegel’s feature The Friend (with Trevor Gureckis), which premiered at this year’s Toronto International Film Festival.
