Hrishikesh Hirway (Everything Sucks!, Save the Date), best known as the host/founder of Song Exploder, has composed the original music for the upcoming thriller Companion. The film is written and directed by Drew Hancock and stars Sophie Thatcher, Jack Quaid, Lukas Gage, Harvey Guillén, Megan Suri and Rupert Friend. No plot details have been announced yet for the New Line Cinema production. Zach Cregger (Barbarian), Raphael Margules & J.D. Lifshitz (Becky, The Vigil) are producing the project for BoulderLight Pictures, alongside Vertigo Entertainment’s Roy Lee (It, The Lego Batman Movie). Rob Lowry is the movie’s music supervisor. Companion will be released in theaters nationwide on January 10, 2025 by Warner Bros. Pictures.
