Milan Records will release a soundtrack album for the Adult Swim original anime series Uzumaki. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Colin Stetson (Hereditary, The Menu, Color Out of Space, The First, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Hold Your Breath). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, September 27 (visit Amazon or any other major digital music services to stream/download) and will also be available to order as a 180-gram black and white spiral-bound vinyl, housed in a single-pocket jacket, with custom artwork illustrated by Junji Ito himself specifically for the release (click here to pre-order the vinyl edition). Listen to the composer’s title track below. Uzumaki based on Ito’s original graphic novel of the same title published by Shogakukan Inc. is set in a town, where everything from a strange whirlwind, billowing smoke from the crematorium, and the residents is turning into spirals, and follows a high school girl as she attempts to escape the curse. The series will premiere this Saturday, September 28 during Adult Swim’s action/anime block Toonami, with new episodes airing weekly in Japanese with English subtitles. Both the Japanese and English dub will also be available to stream on Max.
