South Side Sound will release a soundtrack album for the drama Summer of Violence. The album features the film’s original music composed by Marcus Norris (Lady in the Lake, Honk for Jesus. Save Your Soul.). The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, September 27 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Summer of Violence is written and directed by Nicki Micheaux and stars Kasey Inez, Jahking Guillory, Damon Gupton, Pedro Correa, Stelio Savante and Madhulika Krishnan. The movie is set during the turbulent summer of 1993 when Denver was rocked by a wave of violent crimes and follows a recent college graduate as she navigates a city gripped by fear and spirals into a battle for her own survival. The drama premiered at last year’s American Black Film Festival and will be released in select theaters on September 27 by Three60 Films.
