Dragon’s Domain Records has announced the world premiere soundtrack release for the Canadian 1981 drama Silence of the North directed by Allan King and starring Ellen Burstyn of author Olive Frederickson, Tom Skerritt and Gordon Pinsent. The album features the film’s original music composed by Allan Macmillan, as well as additional music by Jerrold Immel (credited as “music adapted and scored by”) (How the West Was Won, Megaforce, Matilda, Dallas, Programmed to Kill). The soundtrack is now available to order as a limited edition CD on the label’s official website, where you can also check out the track list, listen to audio samples and find out more about the release. A digital version is expected to come out in the coming weeks.
The label’s other new releases include The Brian May Collection – Volume 1 featuring the composer’s newly remastered scores for the 1981 Australian thriller Roadgames directed by Richard Franklin and starring Stacy Keach and Jamie Lee Curtis, as well as the 1990 Australian slasher movie Bloodmoon directed by Alec Mills and starring Leon Lessek, Christina Amor, Ian Williams and Helen Thomson.
