Actor Christoph Waltz has revealed in a recent interview with Collider that Danny Elfman (Batman, Spider-Man, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Alice in Wonderland) will be scoring the upcoming gothic horror movie Dracula: A Love Tale. The film is directed by Luc Besson (The Professional, The Fifth Element) and stars Caleb Landry Jones in the title role, alongside Waltz, Matilda De Angelis, Zoë Bleu Sidel and Haymon Maria Buttinger. The new adaptation of Bram Stoker’s classic novel tells the story of 15th century Prince Vladimir who cursed God following his wife’s death and is turned into a vampire, and decades later discovers his wife’s doppelgänger in London. Virginie Besson-Silla (Lucy, Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets) is producing the LBP and EuropaCorp production. Dracula: A Love Tale will be released in French theaters in 2025.

Elfman’s most recent scoring project, Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, is opening in theaters nationwide this weekend.
