Varèse Sarabande and Craft Recordings have announced first-ever wide vinyl release of the soundtrack album for the 1989 comedy drama Driving Miss Daisy directed by Bruce Beresford and starring Morgan Freeman Jessica Tandy, Dan Aykroyd, Esther Rolle and Patti LuPone. The album features the film’s original music composed by Hans Zimmer (The Dark Knight, Inception, Dune, Gladiator, The Lion King, Interstellar). Also included is Louis Armstrong’s Kiss of Fire and Eartha Kitt’s Santa Baby. The soundtrack will be released as a “Transparent Violet” vinyl on November 15 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon and other retailers in North America. A “Pink Daisy” variant will be available exclusively through Barnes & Noble. Varèse has previously released the original soundtrack featuring the same content on CD in 1989 and digitally several years later. Driving Miss Daisy is now available on VOD, Blu-ray and DVD.
