Composer Jed Kurzel (Alien: Covenant,The Babadook, Monkey Man, Overlord, The MustangThe Pope’s Exorcist) is reteaming with director Justin Kurzel on the upcoming thriller The Order. The film starring Jude Law, Nicholas Hoult, Tye Sheridan, Jurnee Smollett & Marc Maron follows the FBI’s investigation into a domestic terrorist group determined to impose their racist ideology onto mainstream society. Zach Baylin (King Richard, Bob Marley: One Love) wrote the screenplay based on Kevin Flynn’s and Gary Gerhardt’s book The Silent Brotherhood. Justin Kurzel & Law are also producing the AGC Studios production with Bryan Haas and Stuart Ford (Those About to Die, The Secrets We Keep). The composer has previously scored all of the director’s previous features, The Snowtown MurdersMacbethAssassin’s Creed, The True History of the Kelly Gang and Nitram. The Order will premiere this weekend at the 2024 Venice Film Festival and has been picked up by Vertical Entertainment for a domestic release in theaters later this year.
