Atlantic Screen Music/Filmtrax will release a soundtrack album for the horror thriller Cuckoo. The album features the film’s original music composed by Simon Waskow (Luz). The soundtrack will be released digitally on August 30 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. A first track (Gretchen’s Song by Waskow & lead actress Hunter Schafer) is already available to stream/download now and can also be checked out after the jump. Mutant will release a vinyl edition. Cuckoo is written and directed by Tilman Singer and also stars Dan Stevens, Jessica Henwick, Marton Csókás, Jan Bluthardt, Mila Lieu, Greta Fernández, Proschat Madani, Àstrid Bergès-Frisbey, Konrad Singer and Kalin Morrow. The movie centers on a young American woman who travels to Germany, where she comes across some dark secrets and gets drawn into a conspiracy involving bizarre experiments,. The thriller premiered at this year’s Berlin Film Festival and has been released in U.S. theaters earlier this month by Neon.
