Brain and Melissa (aka Bryan ‘Brain’ Mantia & Guns N’ ‘Roses’ Melissa Reese) are currently recording their score for the upcoming sci-fi/horror satire Ick. The film is directed by Joseph Kahn (Torque) and stars Brandon Routh, Malina Weissman, Harrison Cone, Zeke Donovan Jones, Taia Sophia, Mena Suvari, Debra Wilson and Jeff Fahey. The movie follows a high school science teacher who must grapple with a terrifying alien anomaly (the titular “Ick”) invading his small town while discovering he may have a teenage daughter. Kahn also co-wrote the screenplay with Samuel Laskey and Dan Koontz and is producing the Interstellar Entertainment production with Steven Schneider (Insidious, Pet Sematary), Joe Heath, David Kang (Son of the South) and Adi Shankar (Castlevania, The Voices) Brain and Melissa have previously scored Kahn’s last two features, Bodied and Detention. Ick will premiere this September at the 2024 Toronto International Film Festival.
