Sven Faulconer (Scream VI, Unstable, Blood Father, The Elephant Whisperers, The Last Ice) is scoring the upcoming superhero movie Hellboy: The Crooked Man. The film is directed by Brian Taylor (Crank, Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance) and stars Jack Kesy in the title role, Adeline Rudolph as Bobbie Jo Song, Jefferson White as Tom Ferrel, as well as Leah McNamara, Hannah Margetson, Joseph Marcell and Martin Bassindale. The movie is set in the 1950s and follows rookie BPRD agent Song who gets tasked with delivering a spider to the Bureau of Paranormal Research and Defense and must enlist the help of Hellboy to confront the malevolent Crooked Man, who has returned to Earth to harvest souls for the devil. Hellboy creator Mike Mignola and Christopher Golden wrote the screenplay with Taylor. Mike Richardson (The Umbrella Academy, Resident Alien) is producing the project with Millennium Media’s Jeffrey Greenstein & Jonathan Yunger (The Outpost, The Piper), Yariv Lerner (Rambo: Last Blood, Angel Has Fallen), Les Weldon (The Expendables, The Hitman’s Bodyguard), Robert Van Norden (Jolt, The Protege) and Sam Schulte (The Offering). Marco Beltrami & Danny Elfman have previously scored Guillmero del Toro’s first two Hellboy film adaptations, while Benjamin Wallfisch composed the music for the 2019 reboot. Hellboy: The Crooked Man will be released in theaters nationwide this fall by Ketchup Entertainment.
