Back Lot Music will release the official soundtrack album for the coming-of-age comedy drama Dìdi. The album features the film’s original score composed by Giosuè Greco (Welcome to Wrexham, Let the Right One In, Nai Nai & Wài Pó, Not Going Quietly, Big Man on Campus). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, July 26 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Mondo is expected to release a vinyl edition. Listen to the composer’s title track below. Dìdi is written and directed by Sean Wang and stars Izaac Wang, Joan Chen, Shirley Chen and Chang Li Hua. The movie is set in 2008 and follows a 13-year-old Taiwanese American boy during the last month of summer before high school begins as he learns what his family can’t teach him: how to skate, how to flirt, and how to love your mom. The dramedy premiered at this year’s Sundance Film Festival, where it received the Special Jury and Audience Award, and is being released in select theaters this weekend by Focus Features before expanding nationwide in the coming weeks.
