Sony Classical will release a new soundtrack album for Angel Studios’ animated fantasy series The Wingfeather Saga. The album features selections of the original score from the show’s second season composed by The Arcadian Wild, Kurt Heinecke and Ben Shive. Also included is the original song Carry the Fire by Shive feat. Taylor Leonhardt (already available to stream/download now and also embedded after the jump). The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, July 19 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Angel Studios has previously released an album featuring the music from Season 1 last year. The Wingfeather Saga is based on Andrew Peterson’s best-selling books and follows the adventures of the three Igiby children as they journey to uncover the truth about their family’s past and their rightful place in the kingdom of Aerwiar. The second season of the series is now available to stream for Angel Guild members and will be released on Blu-ray, DVD and Digital later this year.
