Persepolis has released a soundtrack album for the French comedy A Smile Doesn’t Lie (Pourquoi tu souris?). The album features the film’s original score composed by Arthur Simonini (Portrait of a Lady on Fire, Vampires, Daughter of Rage, Hibou, Tendre et saignant). A Smile Doesn’t Lie is written and directed by Chad Chenouga & Christine Paillard and stars Jean-Pascal Zadi, Emmanuelle Devos, Judith Magre and Raphaël Quenard. The movie follows a young man who travels to Bordeaux to start a new life and passes himself off as a migrant and forms an unlikely trio with a humanitarian woman and homeless man. The comedy just opened in French theaters this past Wednesday.
