Henry Jackman (X-Men: First Class, Captain America: The Winter Soldier & Civil War, Wreck-It-Ralph, Big Hero 6, Kong: Skull Island, Kingsman: The Secret Service) has composed the original music for the upcoming action comedy Red One. The film is directed by Jake Kasdan (Bad Teacher, Orange County) and stars Dwayne Johnson, Chris Evans, Kiernan Shipka, Bonnie Hunt, Lucy Liu, Kristofer Hivju, Mary Nick Kroll, Elizabeth Ellis and Wesley Kimmel. The movie follows an E.L.F (Extremely Large and Formidable) operative who – after a villain kidnaps Santa from the North Pole – must partner with the world’s most accomplished tracker to find Santa and save Christmas. Chris Morgan (Fast Five, Wanted) wrote the screenplay based on story by Hiram Garcia (Young Rock). Kasdan is also producing the project with Melvin Mar (American Born Chinese, Speechless), Morgan, as well as Seven Bucks’ Johnson, Hiram & Dany Garcia (Black Adam, Jungle Cruise). Jackman has previously scored Kasdan’s last two features, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle and Jumanji: The Next Level. Red One is scheduled to be released in theaters nationwide on November 15, 2024 by Amazon MGM Studios.
