Pathé Films has released a new soundtrack album for the French 1986 drama classics Jean de Florette & Manon of the Spring (Manon des Sources) directed by Claude Berri based on Marcel Pagnol’s two-volume novel The Water of the Hills and starring Yves Montand, Gérard Depardieu, Daniel Auteuil, Emmanuelle Béart and Hippolyte Girardot. The album features the films’ original score composed and conducted by Jean-Claude Petit (Cyrano de Bergerac, The Horseman on the Roof, The Return of the Musketeers, Dalida).
