This past week, Alex Somers (Captain Fantastic, Honey Boy, Causeway, Together, Together, Aloha, Charm City Kings, Dawson City: Frozen Time) has recorded his score for the upcoming thriller Holland, Michigan. The film is directed by Mimi Cave and stars Nicole Kidman, Gael García Bernal, Matthew Macfadyen, Rachel Sennott, Jude Hill, Isaac Krasner, Lennon Parham and Jeff Pope. The movie follows a Midwestern housewife who uncovers a dark secret on the part of her husband, after coming to suspect that he’s having an affair. Andrew Sodroski (Manhunt) wrote the screenplay. Kidman is also producing the project with Per Saari (Big Little Lies, Rabbit Hole) for Blossom Films, alongside 42’s Peter Dealbert (Aftermath) and Churchill Films’ Kate Churchill. Somers has previously scored Cave’s first feature, Fresh. Holland, Michigan is expected to premiere later this year on Prime Video.
Somers’ other recent projects include the Hulu limited series Under the Bridge, which will premiered last month and will finish its run this coming Wednesday.
