Heitor Pereira (Despicable Me, Minions, Puss in Boots: The Last Wish, The Angry Bird Movie, Paw Patrol: The Movie, The Smurfs, Smallfoot, Beverly Hills Chihuahua) has composed the original music for the upcoming documentary Lula. The film is directed by Oliver Stone (JFK, Born on the Fourth of July), co-directed by Rob Wilson (JFK Revisited: Through the Looking Glass) and explores the rise, fall and triumphant return of Brazilian leader Luiz Inácio “Lula” da Silva. The movie focuses on his extraordinary journey in 2022 to regain the Brazilian presidency after spending nineteen months in prison. Wilson is also producing the project with Fernando Sulichin (Snowden, Flag Day), Max Arvelaiz (Nuclear Now). Lula will premiere later this week at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival.
Pereira’s other upcoming projects also include Illumination Entertainment’s Despicable Me 4, which will open in theaters on July 3.
