The full details of the soundtrack album for the romantic comedy The Idea of You have been revealed. The album features the original songs from the movie written by Savan Kotecha & Carl Falk and performed by the fictional boy band August Moon. Also included is a score suite by Emmy Award-nominated composer Siddhartha Khosla (Only Murders in the Building, This Is Us, Runaways). The soundtrack will be released digitally next Thursday, May 2 by Arista Records and physically on Friday, May 3. Visit Amazon to pre-order the CD and vinyl editions. The Idea of You is directed by Michael Showalter and stars Anne Hathaway, Nicholas Galitzine, Ella Rubin, Reid Scott, Annie Mumolo, Viktor White, Jaiden Anthony and Raymond Cham. The movie tells the story of a 40-year-old single mom who begins an unexpected romance with the 24-year old lead singer of the hottest boy band on the planet. The comedy, which premiered at this year’s SXSW Film Festival, will debut on May 2 on Prime Video and is also being released in select theaters.
