MovieScore Media has released a soundtrack album for the French horror thriller The Soul Eater (Le mangeur d’âmes). The album features the film’s original music composed by Raphaël Gesqua (The Deep House, Livid, Among the Living). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Also listen to the composer’s title track below. The Soul Eater is directed by Alexandre Bustillo & Julien Maury and stars Virginie Ledoyen, Paul Hamy and Sandrine Bonnaire. The movie based on Alexis Laipsker’s bestselling novel of the same title is set in a mountain village, where an old legend about a malevolent creature resurfaces following the disappearance of local children and a series of violent deaths. The thriller premiered at this year’s Rotterdam Film Festival and is opening French theaters today.
