Daniel Pemberton (Spider-Man: Into/Across the Spider-Verse, Steve Jobs, Enola Holmes, King Arthur: Legend of the Sword, Ocean’s 8, The Trial of the Chicago 7, The Man from U.N.C.L.E.) has recently been scoring the upcoming romantic comedy drama Fly Me to the Moon. The film is directed by Greg Berlanti (Love, Simon, Life As We Know It) and stars Scarlett Johansson, Channing Tatum, Nick Dillenburg, Anna Garcia, Jim Rash, Colin Woodell, Noah Robbins, Christian Zuber, Donald Elise Watkins, Ray Romano and Woody Harrelson. The movie is set against the high-stakes backdrop of NASA’s historic Apollo 11 moon landing and follows a marketing maven who is brought in to fix NASA’s public image and wreaks havoc on the launch director’s already difficult task. Rose Gilroy wrote the screenplay based on a story by Bill Kirstein & Keenan Flynn. Johansson & Flynn are also producing the project with Jonathan Lia for These Pictures, as well as Sarah Schechter (Free Guy, The Flight Attendant). Fly Me to the Moon will be released in theaters nationwide on July 12, 2024 by Sony Pictures before premiering on Apple TV+ later this year.
Pemberton’s other upcoming feature projects include Sony Pictures Animations’s Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse and DreamWorks Animation’s The Bad Guys 2.
