Nord-Ouest Films has released a soundtrack album for the French eco-thriller The Green Deal (La promesse verte). The album features the film’s original music composed by Thomas Dappelo (Au nom de la terre, Godard Cinema). The Green Deal is co-written and directed by Édouard Bergeon and stars Alexandra Lamy, Félix Moati and Sofian Khammes. The movie follows an English professor leading a tranquil life in rural France whose world crumbles when she learns that her son conducting research for his Ph.D. in Indonesia has been arrested for drug trafficking with a potential death sentence looming and discovers that he is a crucial witness to crimes committed by powerful palm oil producer. The thriller is being released in French theaters today.
