Rael Jones (Mrs. Harris Goes to Paris, Suite Francaise, Harlots, My Cousin Rachel, Kids in Love, The Salisbury Poisonings) has composed the original music for the new action comedy Role Play. The film is directed by Thomas Vincent (Reacher) and stars Kaley Cuoco, David Oyelowo, Connie Nielsen and Bill Nighy. The movie revolves around a mother of two kids living the suburbs of New Jersey who leads has a secret life as an assassin for hire, a secret that her husband discovers when the couple decide to spice up their marriage with a little role play. Seth Owen (Morgan, All Nighter) wrote the screenplay. Cuoco is also producing the StudioCanal and Picture Company production with Alex Heineman (The Commuter, Gunpowder Milkshake) and Andrew Rona (Non-Stop, Unknown). Role Play will premiere on January 12, 2024 on Prime Video.
Jones has also recently been scoring the upcoming British comedy Seize Them! directed by Curtis Vowell and starring Aimee Lou Wood, Lolly Adefope, Nicola Coughlan, Nick Frost and Jessica Hynes. The movie, which is set in the Dark Ages in Britain and follows a queen who is toppled by a revolution, is scheduled to open in UK theaters on April 5, 2024.
