Paramount Music has released a new digital soundtrack album for the 1987 horror comedy The Monster Squad co-written and directed by Fred Dekker and starring Andre Gower, Robby Kiger, Duncan Regehr, Stephen Macht, Stan Shaw and Tom Noonan. The album features the film’s original score composed and conducted by Academy Award nominee Bruce Broughton (Silverado, The Miracle on 42nd Street, Young Sherlock Holmes, Rescuers Down Under, Homeward Bound, Tombstone). Also included is the Monster Squad Rap written by Michael Sembello & Richard Rudolph. The soundtrack is now available to stream on Spotify and Apple Music/iTunes, where you can also check out the track list and check out audio samples. Intrada Records has previously released the world premiere score release for the movie as a limited edition CD back in 2007, while La-La Land Records has released a limited edition reissue featuring additional bonus tracks in 2015. The new digital release includes the score presentation (plus the Monster Squad Rap) from La-La Land’s version of the soundtrack. The Monster Squad is now available to purchase on VOD, 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray & DVD and to stream on Paramount+.
