Verve Records has announced the U.S. release of the physical version of the soundtrack album for the Japanese music drama anime Blue Giant. The album features the film’s original music composed by Japanese pianist Hiromi Uehara. The soundtrack will be released physically (both on CD and vinyl) this Friday, October 6 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. A digital version of the album was released earlier this year when the movie opened in Japan and is now available to stream/download on all major digital music services (including Amazon, where you can also check out the track list). TBlue Giant directed by Yuzuru Tachikawa is based on the manga series of the same title by Shinichi Ishizuka and follows a former high school basketball player whose life is turned upside down the day he discovers jazz and becomes determined to become one of the greatest saxophone players of all time. he animated movie will be released in U.S. theaters for two-nights-only on October 8 & 9 by GKIDS.
