Zhejiang Huace Film Co. has released a soundtrack album for the Chinese drama The Breaking Ice (Ran Dong). The album features the film’s original music composed by Kin Leonn. The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and most other major digital music services. The Breaking Ice is written and directed by Anthony Chen and stars Zhou Dongyu, Liu Haoran and Qu Chuxiao. The movie follows a rich young man from Shanghai who travels to the city of Yanji, in the coldest part of China’s northeast, where he meets a charming local tour guide. The drama premiered at this year’s Cannes Film Festival (and will also screen this month at the 2023 Toronto International Film Festival) and is opening in Chinese theaters today.
