Varese Sarabande has announced a new soundtrack album for the 1986 horror comedy April Fool’s Day directed by Fred Walton and starring Thomas F. Wilson, Deborah Foreman, Amy Steel, Griffin O’Neal, Ken Olandt, Leah Pinsent and Deborah Goodrich. The Deluxe Edition album features the world premiere release of the actual orchestral recording of the film’s score composed by Charles Bernstein (A Nightmare on Elm Street, Love at First Bite, Deadly Friend, Cujo), as well as previously unreleased bonus tracks. Also included is the content of the original 1986 soundtrack album, which featured a synthesized performance of the composer’s music not heard in the film. The CD is now available to order on the label’s official website, where you can also learn more about the release. April Fool’s Day is now available on VOD, Blu-ray and DVD.
