Danny Bensi & Saunder Jurriaans (Ozark, The Staircase, The Outsider, Enemy, The Gift, Boy Erased) have been tapped to score the upcoming FX limited series A Murder at the End of the World. The show is created and directed by Brit Marling & Zal Batmanglij (The East, Sound of My Voice) and stars Emma Corrin, Clive Owen, Harris Dickinson, Marling herself, Alice Braga, Raúl Espanza, Joan Chen, Jermaine Fowler, Pegah Ferydoni, Ryan J. Haddad, Javed Khan, Louis Cancelmi and Edoardo Ballerini. The 7-part murder mystery follows a Gen Z amateur sleuth and tech-savvy hacker who – alongside eight other guests – is invited by a reclusive billionaire to participate in a retreat at a remote location and – when one of the other guests is found dead – must use all of her skills to prove it was murder. Marling & Batmanglij. Marling and Batmanglij are also executive producing the project with Andrea Sperling (Transparent, Like Crazy), Melanie Marnich and Nicki Paluga (Perception). Bensi & Jurriaans have previously collaborated with Marling & Batmanglij on the Netflix series The OA. A Murder at the End of the World will premiere this August exclusively on Hulu.
Bensi & Jurriaans also continue to score AMC’s Fear the Walking Dead, which currently airs in its eighth season every Sunday. They are also expected to return to score the second seasons of HBO Max’s Tokyo Vice, Amazon’s Outer Range and Paramount+’s Tulsa King.
