British composer Sarah Angliss is attached to score the upcoming period drama Monstrous Beauty. The film is written and directed by Romola Garai and will star Bella Ramsey, Dominic West, Ruth Negga and Fiona Shaw. The movie is set in the 17th Century and tells the story of a unique young woman, born into poverty with a rare condition of being entirely covered in hair, who is offered the opportunity of a place in the luxurious and decadent court of King Charles II. Matthew James Wilkinson (Yesterday, Days of the Bagnold Summer) is producing the project for Stigma Films. Angliss has previously scored Garai’s 2020 feature directorial debut, Amulet. Monstrous Beauty is set to start shooting this September. (Deadline)
