Jason Akana has recently scored the upcoming Hulu original movie Quasi. The film is directed Kevin Heffernan and stars Heffernan himself, Steve Lemme, Jay Chandrasekhar, Erik Stolhanske, Paul Soter (who also co-wrote the screenplay), as well as Adrianne Palicki. The comedy tells the story of a hapless hunchback who only yearns for love, but finds himself in the middle of a murderous feud between the Pope and the King of France when each orders the hunchback to kill the other. Richard Perello (Super Troopers, Beerfest) is producing the Searchlight Pictures production. Akana has previously scored the Heffernan-produced truTV series Tacoma FD. Quasi will premiere on April 20, 2023 exclusively on Hulu.
