Haim Mazar (The Iceman, Sneakerheads, The Taking of Deborah Logan, Woke, I Am Wrath) has been hired to score the upcoming comedy sequel Half Baked 2. The film is directed by Michael Tiddes (A Haunted House, Naked) and stars Rachel True who reprises her role as Mary Jane from the original 1998 movie (scored by Alf Clausen), as well as Dexter Darden, Moses Storm, Ramona Young, Joel Courtney, Ash Santos and David Koechner. The movie follows Thurgood Jenkins’ son and his best friends as they search for the money to bury their other best friend who died from smoking the most powerful joint in the world. Justin Hires wrote the screenplay. Griff Furst (Welcome to Sudden Death, Tales from the Dead 3) is producing the Universal 1440 Entertainment production. Half Baked 2 is expected to be released this year.
