Deadline is reporting that Bill Conti (Rocky, The Right Stuff, The Karate Kid, The Thomas Crown Affair, For Your Eyes Only, Masters of the Universe) is attached to score the upcoming biographical drama Roselli’s Way. The film, which marks the Academy Award winner’s first feature scoring project in over a decade, centers on Italian American pop singer Jimmy Roselli as he looks back on a career, in which he was forever in the shadow of contemporary Frank Sinatra. J.D. Zeik (Ronin) wrote the screenplay. Michael Besman (About Schmidt, Bounce), James Deutch, Roger Birnbaum (Rush Hour, While You Were Sleeping) and Mark Kimsey are producing the project for EMP Productions, alongside Spike Seldin (The A-Team) and Neil Jesuele for Remarkable Media. Ron Fair is also producing and will serve as the movie’s music supervisor. James Ivory and Stephen Dembitzer are executive producing. No director has been hired yet and no word yet on a production start date for the film.
