Tom Howe (A Shaun the Sheep Movie: Farmageddon, Early Man, Professor Marston and the Wonder Women, The People We Hate at the Wedding) is scoring the new Apple TV+ original series Shrinking. The show is created by Jason Segel, Bill Lawrence (Scrubs, Cougar Town) & Brett Goldstein (Soulmates) and stars Harrison Ford, Segel himself, Jessica Williams, Michael Urie, Luke Tennie, Christa Miller and Lukita Maxwell. The comedy revolves around a grieving therapist who starts to break the rules and tell his clients exactly what he thinks and finds himself making huge changes to people’s lives – including his own. Lawrence, Segel, Goldstein are also executive producing the Warner Bros. Television production with Neil Goldman (Community), James Ponsoldt (The Spectacular Now, The End of the Tour), Randall Winston (Mixed-ish), Jeff Ingold and Liza Katzer. Howe has previously scored the Lawrence-produced shows Ted Lasso (co-scored with Marcus Mumford), Whiskey Cavalier (co-scored with Harry Gregson-Williams) and Head of the Class. Shrinking will premiere this Friday, January 27 on Apple TV+.
Howe’s other recent projects include Nida Manzoor’s action comedy Polite Society, which just premiered at the Sundance Film Festival and will be released in theaters on April 28 by Focus Features.
