Deadline is reporting that Geremy Jasper & Jason Binnick are writing original songs for an upcoming rock opera feature, entitled O’Dessa. The movie written and directed by Jasper will star Sadie Sink and is produced by Searchlight Pictures. The film is set in a post-apocalyptic future and revolves around a farm girl on an epic quest to recover a cherished family heirloom whose journey leads her to a strange and dangerous city where she meets her one true love. Michael Gottwald (Beasts of the Southern Wild) is producing the project for the Department of Motion Pictures, alongside Noah Stahl, as well as Rodrigo Teixeira (Call Me By Your Name, Ad Astra) for RT Features. Jasper & Binnick have previously written the songs for Jasper’s directorial debut, Patti Cake$. O’Dessa is set to start principal photography this May in Croatia.
