Gary Gunn (David Makes Man, Master of Light, Maggie Black) has composed the original score for the upcoming drama A Thousand and One. The film is written and directed by A.V. Rockwell and stars Teyana Taylor, Will Catlett, Josiah Cross, Aven Courtney and Aaron Kingsley Adetola. The movie revolves around an unapologetic and free-spirited mother who kidnaps her 6-year-old son from the foster care system. Lena Waithe (Queen & Slim, The Chi) is producing the project with Rishi Rajani (The Forty-Year-Old Version, Twenties), Brad Weston (Footloose, One Chance), Eddie Vaisman (Monsters and Men, Bad Hair) and Julia Lebedev (Bad Education, Dear White People). A Thousand and One will premiere this month at the 2023 Sundance Film Festival and is scheduled to be released in theaters on March 30, 2023 by Focus Features.
