Composer Bobby Krlic (aka The Haxan Cloak) (The Alienist: Angel of Darkness, Snowpiercer, Paper Girls, Triple 9, Seven Seconds, Returnal) is reuniting with director Ari Aster on the upcoming horror comedy Beau Is Afraid. The film is written and directed by Aster (Hereditary) and stars Joaquin Phoenix, Patti LuPone, Nathan Lane, Amy Ryan, Parker Posey, Kylie Rogers, Stephen McKinley Henderson, Michael Gandolfini, Denis Ménochet, Zoe Lister-Jones and Richard Kind. The movie is being described as an “intimate, decades-spanning portrait of one of the most successful entrepreneurs of all time”. Aster is also producing the project with Lars Knudsen (The Northman, American Honey). Krlic has previously scored the director’s last feature, Midsommar. Beau Is Afraid will be released in theaters this April by A24.
Krlic also continues to score TNT’s Snowpiercer, which will return for its fourth and final season this year.
