Erick Schroder (The Ultimate Playlist of Noise, Under the Stadium Lights, American Christmas, No Man’s Land) has been hired to score the upcoming horror thriller Skeletons in the Closet. The film is directed by Asif Akbar (The Commando) and stars Terrence Howard, Cuba Gooding Jr., Clifton Powell, Valery M. Ortiz, Udo Kier, Sally Kirkland and Louis Mandylor. The movie follows a desperate mother who has been haunted by a malevolent spirit since childhood and allows herself to become possessed in order to save the life of her terminally ill daughter. Koji Steven Sakai and Joshua A. Cohen wrote the screenplay based on a story by Al Bravo. Akbar, Bravo & Sakai are also producing the project with Colin Bates (Maggie, Infamous), Stan Erdreich (Son of the South) and Monica R. Cooper. Schroder has previously scored Akbar’s 2018 feature Astro. Skeletons in the Closet is currently in post-production and is expected to be released in 2023.
