Tom Howe (Ted Lasso, A Shaun the Sheep Movie: Farmageddon, Early Man, Professor Marston & the Wonder Women) has composed the original music for the upcoming comedy The People We Hate at the Wedding. The film is directed by Claire Scanlon (Set It Up) and stars Allison Janney, Kristen Bell, Ben Platt, Cynthia Addai-Robinson, Dustin Milligan, Karan Soni, Isaach De Bankolé, Tony Goldwyn, Jorma Taccone, Julian Ovenden and John McMillan. The movie follows two dysfunctional American siblings and their their ever-optimistic mom who are invited to the British wedding of their estranged half-sister as a chance for them to reconnect as adults.Lizzie Molyneux-Logelin & Wendy Molyneux (The Great North, Bob’s Burgers) wrote the screenplay based on the book by Grant Ginder. Margot Hand (Barb and Star Go to Vista Del Mar, Brittany Runs a Marathon) and Ashley Fox (Promising Young Woman, The Map of Tiny Perfect Things) are producing the project. The People We Hate at the Wedding will premiere on November 18 exclusively on Prime Video.
Howe’s other upcoming projects include the animated movie The Amazing Maurice, which is set to be released in U.S. theaters on January 13, 2023 by Viva Pictures. He is also expected to return to co-score the third season of Apple TV+’s Ted Lasso.
