Matteo Zingales (The Hunter, Tidelands, Secrets and Lies) and Antony Partos (Animal Kingdom, The Rover, Gold, I Am Mother, Adore) have composed the original score for the upcoming thriller Poker Face. The film is directed by Russell Crowe who also stars in the movie, alongside Liam Hemsworth, RZA, Elsa Pataky, Aden Young and Daniel MacPherson. The thriller is set in the world of high stakes poker and a billionaire who invites several childhood friends to his villa in Miami for a game of poker with a plan to exact revenge on each of them. Crowe also co-wrote the screenplay with Stephen M. Coates (John Doe: Vigilante). Gary Hamilton (First Reformed, Hotel Mumbai), Keith Rodger (The Water Diviner), Ying Ye (Triple Threat), Ryan Hamilton, Addam Bramich, Jeanette Volturno (Songbird), Jason Clark and Matt Williams (Twist, Book of Love) are producing the project. Partos & Zingales have previously co-scored several features (including Ramin Bahrani’s 99 Homes and Fahrenheit 451) and TV shows. Poker Face is premiering this coming Sunday at the 2022 Rome Film Festival and will open in select U.S. theaters on November 16 by Screen Media Films before a digital release on November 22, 2022.
