Herdís Stefánsdóttir (Y: The Last Man, The Essex Serpent, The Sun Is Also a Star, We’re Here) has been hired to score the upcoming thriller Knock at the Cabin. The film is directed by M. Night Shyamalan (The Sixth Sense, Signs) and stars Dave Bautista, Jonathan Groff, Nikki Amuka-Bird, Ben Aldridge, Kristen Cui, Abby Quinn and Rupert Grint. The movie revolves around a young girl and her parents vacationing at a remote cabin who are taken hostage by four armed strangers who demand that the family make an unthinkable choice to avert the apocalypse. Shyamalan also co-wrote the screenplay with Steve Desmond & Michael Sherman based on the book The Cabin at the End of the World by Paul Tremblay. He is also producing the Dancing Edge Pictures production with Marc Bienstock (Split, Glass) and Ashwin Rajan (Old, Servant). Knock at the Cabin will be released in theaters nationwide on February 3, 2023 by Universal Pictures.
