Deadline is reporting that Dr. Dre will compose the original score for the upcoming animated series Death for Hire: The Origin of Tehk City. The show is created by Ice-T & Arabian Prince based on the graphic novel of the same title and features the voice talent of Ice-T himself, his wife Coco, Treach, Snoop Dogg, Busta Rhymes, Tracy Morgan, Mike Epps, Roxanne Shanté, Peter Scanavino, Ben Baller, Styles P, Emilio Rivera, Tone Trump, Tommy The Animator and Shannon Eric Denton. The series follows a crooked mayor, his deadly female assassin and right-hand-man who must navigate the savage law of the street. Gary Phillips is writing the script. Denton is also executive producing the project (for Monster Forge Productions) with Z2 Comics’s Josh Bernstein. Each rap artist from the voice cast is also writing and performing their own custom theme. Death for Hire: The Origin of Tehk City is currently in production. No word yet on a release date.
