Composer James Newton Howard (The Hunger Games, King Kong, Maleficent, The Sixth Sense, The Fugitive, Signs) is set to reteam with director David Yates (Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, The Legend of Tarzan) on the upcoming Netflix original film Pain Hustlers. The crime comedy starring Emily Blunt & Chris Evans follows a high-school dropout dreaming of a better life for her and her young daughter who lands a job with a failing pharmaceutical start-up in Central Florida, where she soon finds herself at the center of a criminal conspiracy. Wells Tower wrote the screenplay. Lawrence Grey (Lights Out, The Laundromat) is producing the project. Howard has previously collaborated with Yates on the Fantastic Beasts film series. The composer has confirmed his involvement on Instagram. Pain Hustlers is scheduled to start principal photography this month and is expected to be released in 2023.
Howard’s other upcoming projects include Disney+’s Willow, the Netflix limited series All the Light We Cannot See and The Hunger Games prequel The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes.
