Lorne Balfe (Mission: Impossible: Fallout, Black Widow, Top Gun: Maverick, The LEGO Batman Movie, His Dark Materials, Bad Boys for Life) has been tapped to score the upcoming romantic comedy Ticket to Paradise. The film is directed by Ol Parker (Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again, Imagine Me & You) and stars George Clooney and Julia Roberts. The movie follows two exes who find themselves on a shared mission to stop their lovestruck daughter from making the same mistake they once made. Parker also co-wrote the screenplay with Daniel Pipski. Roberts & Clooney are also producing the project with Working Title’s Tim Beva & Eric Fellner (Atonement, The Theory of Everything), Sarah Harvey, Deborah Balderstone (Palm Beach, Gone), Smokehouse Pictures’ Grant Heslov (Argo, Good Night, and Good Luck) and Red Om Films’ Lisa Roberts Gillan and Marisa Yeres Gill. Ticket to Paradise is set to open in UK theaters on September 16 and will be released in U.S. theaters nationwide on October 21, 2022 by Universal Pictures.
