Jonathan Sadoff (The Peanut Butter Falcon, The Meddler, Seeking a Friend for the End of the World, The Mick) is scoring the new Peacock limited series Angelyne. The show is created by Nancy Oliver (Lars and the Real Girl) and stars Emmy Rossum, Martin Freeman, Hamish Linklater, Alex Karpovsky, Charlie Rowe, Lukas Gage, Michael Angarano, Philip Ettinger, Molly Ephraim, Antjuan Tobias, Tonatiuh and David Krumholtz. The 8-part drama tells the story of the titular D-list celebrity who garnered attention in the 1980s through a series of provocative billboards throughout Los Angeles. Rossum is also executive producing the UCP production for Composition 8, alongside showrunner Allison Miller, Sam Esmail & Chad Hamilton (Mr. Robot, Homecoming), as well as Lucy Tcherniak who also directed multiple episodes. Matt Spicer who previously collaborated with Sadoff on the feature Ingrid Goes West and Hulu’s Dollface also serves as a director. Angelyne will premiere this coming Thursday, May 19, exclusively on Peacock.
