Maneki & Arche Films have released a soundtrack album for the French prison drama Singing Jailbirds (À l’ombre des filles). The album features the film’s original music composed by Arthur Simonini (Portrait of a Lady on Fire, Hibou, Tendre et saignant). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download here, where you can also check out the track list and listen to audio samples. Singing Jailbirds is written and directed by Etienne Comar (Django) and stars Alex Lutz, Agnès Jaoui, Veerle Baetens, Hafsia Herzi, Marie Berto, Fatima Berriah and Anna Najder. The movie is set over a summer and follows a renowned singer who agrees to give singing lessons in a women’s prison and has to deal with with the prisoner’s unpredictable temperaments. The drama is being released in French theaters today.
